2. Decide : "To be or not to be". You need to take a stance on a given question or topic. Reading a lot of material before the speech is good idea to get started.

3. Mental map: Prepare an introduction, body and conclusion for your quick thought. Prioritize the thoughts that are coming in your head to pick a few good ones. It will be best to pick the most convincing for you.

You have to believe in the thought that you are going to speak before you sound authentic. Add some passion to the speech and deliver.

4. Assess :Look for the audience reaction and the assess the kind of audience that you are dealing with. It might be safe to stick to non-controversial topics and be polite. Make a mention that you may be wrong in some of the assumptions but you will clarify if needed.

5. Stick: to your point in the conclusion. Re-emphasize the introduction. Introduce suitable quotes from memory to captivate the audience. Leave the audience with something to hold on to.

6. Create Good impression :Bring out the best foot forward. Impromptu speech is a strong assessment of your personality and so you would want to be polite.

7. Provide an example or two from your experience that you can share to justify your claim.

After your speech, replay the words in your mind that you had most difficulty with speaking. Answer those questions when you get to your desk this prepares you for the next time when the same question is asked. Make a note of the question that was asked and the answer you gave. This will establish a good feedback loop process to prepare for your speeches.

Having a good memory serves one well in an impromptu situation.

Memorize as many good thoughts and quotes as you find, read interesting books to support your thought process. This helps to put in some catchy phrases from memory.
