What runs in your mind when you are painting?

A picture is worth a thousand words! How true?

There are times when  the picture can depict the entire life of the person in a jiffy. The point is to savour the present moment without being attached to past or dreaming about the future moments.

The other day I went running on a hiking trail, I was struck by the serenity of the environment and the quietness of the water (lake). I stopped to look around and enjoy the nature in it's surroundings. The feeling was overwhelming and relaxing. It is important to take regular breaks and keep moving around to keep the mind functioning at it's best.

The  mild whispering of the wind through the blades of grass was enticing to sit down and take note. The water's mild ripples created waves in my mind and thoughts of goodness blossomed through the morning.

The feeling was great!

The same feeling is re-created when you are doing something that you like to do!

Painting has that ability to tune your mind to calmness and relaxation and reach a different dimension.

Try it, you will enjoy the feeling at the end of it. Colors have the ability to add new thoughts to your mind and grow new pathways of imagination.

Strive to reach that new destination in imagination and enjoy your journey.
